Danny and Derek welcome to the podcast actor Michael Stuhlbarg (A Serious Man, Call Me By Your Name, “Boardwalk Empire”) to discuss his role in the new play Patriots, which portrays billionaire Boris Berezovsky’s (Stuhlbarg) relationship with Vladimir Putin (Will Keen) in 1991.
Would love an Adam Curtis interview from AP btw, or do historians scorn him? I like all his docs, but his 'Bitter Lake' from 2015 is one of the strongest. You 'Hypernormalisation' is super good too.
Adam curtis did the trauma zone documentary mentioned in this interview and also has an incredible documentary called hypernormalisation. Highly recommend both!
Stuhlbarg was in a great science-fiction film in 2017 called 'Call Me By Your Name' where in the year 1983 an American father is accepting of his gay son, and even gives him a tear-jerking speech about it.

Agreed, that would be an amazing get for AP and an interesting interview.

May not be available in all areas, but I am able to watch it.

Loving the AP cultural turn
A Serious Man. Still the best Cohen Brothers movie by far!
This play sounds fascinating.
