Great interview. I especially liked your answers on US-China relations. A great example of US kayfabe towards China is the constant commentary from Blinken on the "plight of Hong Kong".
Granted the pro-democracy movement has been defeated (a more complex story than is usually told) but women can still get abortions here, our EPA still had the power to regulate and there are no mass shootings (or any shootings).
If you listen to the US government, you'd think Hong Kong was the Warsaw ghetto.
In any case, the US can't go to war with China because the second Chinese goods stopped flowing to Wal-Mart, voters would oust the government from power.
